HUNTER WILL INTRODUCE A UNIQUE LIFESTYLE SOLUTION THROUGH INSPIRATIONAL DESIGN INTO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
iWolff Atelier has been responsible for successfully securing this project through the EOI process with Council.
Hunter derives its concept in response to a unique blend of lifestyles and needs present in Werribee City. The 12 storey building will be the tallest building in Werribee and is a bold, innovative and refreshing solution creating a vibrant mix of hotel, retail and commercial uses within the one singular vertical development. The upper four floors contain the hotel consisting 150 rooms together with a convention centre, bar and restaurant. The balance of the building contains two commercial floors over carparking and ground level retail and cafes.
The built form is activated in 3 dimensions with finely grained articulated façades. The architectural language and materiality of the building evokes of strength with the verticality of the native bushland of Werribee River Corridor in the details of the façade with a well-considered palate of materials including vertical rhythmic elements symbolising the trees and bushland beyond with the darker perforated screens on the corner lower levels representing the earth with natural tones. The mixture of vertical elements on the facade interplays with the articulated screens of the car parking levels to form a visually iconic building for this key location.
Hunter will introduce a unique design solution through inspirational design in built form and materiality becoming the workplace and lifestyle point of destination in Werribee.
