SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FOR INTEGRATED WASTE TREATMENT, RECYCLING AND ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION.

Wolff Atelier in collaboration with SMEC is responsible for the design, documentation and delivery of this Waste Treatment Facility in Prestons, NSW, for the Hi-Quality Group. Hi-Quality offers sustainable solutions for integrated waste treatment, recycling and environmental remediation solutions throughout Australia.

The project will be delivered on a Design & Construct basis with Degnan as the head Contractor.

This purpose built facility will become the headquarters for Hi-Quality. It consists of a 400sqm 2 storey Offices Administration component together with 5,600 sqm Waste Treatment Facility including weigh-bridges, washing facilities and treatment areas for the various stages of treatment of the spoil.

The solution creates a series of built forms housing the treatment facilities facilitating a continuous process of treating the spoil enabling the clean soil to be transported to appropriate locations locally or interstate.

When completed the facility will take 270,000tpa of contaminated soil which is then stabilized or treated for reuse setting the benchmark for sustainable waste recycling of spoil.
