iWolff Atelier is responsible for the design documentation and delivery of this special project in Port Macquarie with commanding views to east the towards Oxley Beach and the north to towards Town Beach. ‘Tara’ delivers exceptional luxury, comfort and craftsmanship to the dramatic coastal landscape of Port Macquarie’s cosmopolitan Town Beach precinct.

‘Tara’ is situated in a key location on the corner of Owen and Gordon Streets in Port Macquarie. It is a significant landmark apartment building which has a strong sense of place amongst its neighbours.

This boutique building encompasses a collection of 24 wonderfully generous, beautifully appointed two and three-bedroom apartments inspired by the natural elements of their surroundings. Intimate ocean views create a breath taking backdrop for some while others take in the urban landscape of the nearby town centre.

The exterior of ‘Tara’ has been designed to capture the expansive ocean views of the local beaches from the private balconies which extend the interior to the exterior. Simple elegant lines of the balconies express the form and rhythm of the ocean and balance the architectural form to maximise light, ventilation and views from the private balcony spaces.

The built form creates a significant elegant landmark at the corner with a sense of scale and proportion, particularly at the ground level. Landscape gardens have been increased in density to express lush private entrances around the perimeter at ground level. The interior takes reference from the architecture with a sophisticated and refined material palette.
