LEADING EDGE SOLUTION DEIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE THIS FOOD DISTRIBUTION FACILITY.
United Food Services is a company which distributes cold and/or dry food products throughout Victoria.
iWolff Atelier has been engaged to masterplan, design and deliver this site to house the new headquarters, storage and distribution facility for United Foodservice. The site also includes a number of speculative warehouses adjacent.
The design successfully challenged the Council’s urban design requirements for the site with quality architecture and site planning to achieve the client brief whilst convincing Council of an appropriate urban response.
United Foodservice’s new facility is a state-of-the-art facility utilising leading technologies to store, manage and distribute food products.
The building has been designed as a strong architectural statement illustrating the strength of the company. Primarily form must follow function to maximise the efficiency of the facility however the building exhibits strongly articulated façades with a dynamic canopy addressing the entrance.
The facility is set in a well landscaped environment utilising indigenous species to integrate it with the native parklands adjacent. The speculative warehouses are typically 500 sqm each with a small mezzanine office component. The buildings have been designed with expressive façades addressing the street to create a quality Business Park environment.
