DESIGNED TO CREATE A SENSE OF PLACE WITHIN THE HE LOCAL COMMUNITY WITH AN ICONIC LANDMARK BUILDING.

iWolff Atelier is responsible for the design, documentation and delivery of this unique Early Learning Centre.  This centre consists of 125 places for children ranging from 0 to 6 years of age.

This new Childcare Centre will establish a sculptural, active and vibrant gateway development within the local community in East Perth.  The carefully crafted plan is designed as a playful arrangement of spaces responding to the rhythmic and expressive envelope of the building thus creating unique teaching spaces within this 2 storey building.

The Centre is delicately wrapped in an undulating screen which culminates at the corner.  The artistic expression of the finely detailed screens creates an iconic corner landmark as if being caressed as the screen meets the street.  The screens intersect at the corner as if to caress the Centre with nurturing hands, thus creating an artistic expression of the sculptural qualities of the whole development.

The solution will be an identifiable landmark within the community.
